With Greatest Love & Warmest Memories...9/17/1996-11/17/2008
The beloved dog, pet, friend and 'only child' of George & Ann Mihaiu...affectionately known as George's "Executive Assistant & Receptionist" over the years by our many clients and friends...and the sweetest little dog anyone could ask for!
It's Monday, November 17, 2008 and very sad news here today...Jazzy passed away suddenly this morning from complications of heart disease. She turned 12 years old in September and had been showing more and more effects from it in her last few weeks, but between us and the vet, we'd done everything we could do. Though we were prepared somewhat for it, it was unexpected when it happened so suddenly this morning...thankfully, we were with her at the end so she didn't have to be alone...it just must have been her time to go.We're very saddened, of course...and just trying to remember all the love and joy she brought to our lives!! She brought lots and lots of smiles and laughs to us, our friends and to so many kids over her years, too...she was wonderful with kids, giving them 'kisses' whenever asked! She brought such a richness, joy and love to our lives that she WAS 'our child'. Missing her very much...but we find ourselves laughing and smiling between the tears when we think of her and some of her antics!! :)
It's lonely around here without her to paw at us when she needed to go outside...or greet us so excitedly when we returned home, as if we'd been gone forever...or coming to get me at 5:00pm SHARP every day and let me know in no uncertain terms that it's her dinner time!! And our 'Let's go out & get the paper!' ritual early each morning started every single day off right! I still find myself talking to her and looking at the path she raced out to each morning around the edges of the yard as we went out in the front yard to get the newspaper.
Find myself hoping each time that just once, someday, I'll see her standing there and that she's looking happy!
We were so richly blessed to have her with us in our lives for the 12 years we did. She really WAS a special dog whose love and presence in our lives made our time together with her the best 12 years of our lives! Won't be another one like Jazzy any time soon!!
